Toepassing: HEDP wordt gebruikt als afzettingremmer, deflocculant, sequestreermiddel, waterstabilisator in circulerend koelwatersysteem, olieveld en lagedrukketels op gebieden zoals elektrische energie, chemische industrie, metallurgie, kunstmest, enz. Onder omstandigheden van hoge temperatuur en hoge PH waarde. HEDP wordt ook gebruikt als wasmiddel voor metaal en niet-metaal. In de verfindustrie wordt HEDP gebruikt als peroxide-stabilisator en kleurstof-fixeermiddel; Bij niet-cyanide-galvanisering wordt HEDP als chelaatvormer gebruikt.
